Confluent Photonics Unveils DWDM Mux/Demux
Salem, NH, June 11, 2003 -
Confluent Photonics announces the Lightchip RPM-40-100 DWDM mux/demux, ideally suited for HFC DWDM applications that require 100 GHz channel spacing. The legendary performance of the 200 GHz Lightchip™ product line - including ultra-low insertion loss - is now available in 40 channel, 100 GHz channel spacing for primary ring applications in LGX or 1RU "rack-ready" enclosures. These flat-filter-shape high-channel count DWDM subsystems increase bandwidth in a wide range of HFC network architectures, and enable MSOs to provide advanced services such as HDTV, VOD, and VoIP cost effectively. The Lightchip "plug-and-play" subsystems are passive, athermal, and protocol independent, and are easily installed without service disruption. Optical power taps enable accurate monitoring at the fiber to assure QoS. All Lightchip™ products feature ultra-low insertion loss, excellent uniformity, and extremely low chromatic dispersion making them the industry standard for high channel count and high-speed applications.
Confluent Photonics is displaying its complete product line in booth 1359 at the 2003 NCTA National Show.
