Confluent Photonics Expands Product Line
Salem, NH, May 12, 2003 -
Confluent Photonics announced today that it has expanded its DWDM mux/demux product line to include a 16 channel optical multiplexer/demultiplexer. Confluent Photonics, well-known for its Lightchip product line, currently supplies the cable industry with 20 channel, 200 GHz channel spacing systems in both "rack ready" 2RU and LGX form factors. "Offering a 16 channel version of our product to augment our 20 channel standard product has opened a segment of the cable market that we had not addressed previously. We have found that some cable networks do not require more than 16 channels. Therefore, we believe the Cable industry will benefit from our top quality multiplexer for both 16 and 20 channel systems," said Nick Economou, CEO of Confluent Photonics.
Confluent Photonics is displaying its complete product line in booth #2412 at the 2003 Cable-Tec Expo. The product line includes superior performance optical mux/demux products for 200 GHz and 100 GHz channel spacing applications. Confluent Photonics, located in Salem, New Hampshire, has been supplying the cable industry with world-class mux/demux products since 2000 when high channel count DWDM technology was first deployed in the cable industry.
